Are there any other fees I should know about?

All typical session fees are outlined above. Any/all legal-related matters are subject to a higher legal rate. Please reach out directly with any related inquiries .

What should I expect in the first session?

The initial assessment is a collaborative 80-minute session where we discuss your child's goals, strengths, and history to create a personalized support plan. Adults who are looking for support can book an individual session as a first session as an initial assessment is not requirement for adult support.

How often should we attend sessions?

Frequency depends on each individual's goals and needs. Typically, we start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions to build rapport and momentum toward goals. As part of the initial session, we can discuss recommended frequency based on goals and individual needs.

How do I bill my insurance provider?

After each session, you will receive an RCC receipt which you can submit to your extended health provider for reimbursement according to your plan.

Understanding Your Benefits

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider

Understanding your coverage can help you plan for your child's care. Here are some helpful questions to ask your extended health provider:

  • Does my plan cover counseling services by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)?
  • What is the annual maximum amount covered for counselling per person?
  • Is there a deductible I need to meet before coverage begins?
  • What is the percentage or fixed amount covered per session?
  • Does my plan require a physician’s referral for reimbursement?
